This is not a cooking class. This opportunity is about becoming a member of the culinary team participating in the preparation (mise en place) of the dishes that are to be featured on the evening's dinner menu. It's about feeling the adrenalin surge and a sense of pride and accomplishment as the dishes that you have assisted in preparing leave the kitchen.
Guest chefs will also gain a better understanding of the culinary philosophy of King Pacific Lodge and how sustainability impacts the selection of suppliers and the food product that are used, learn what to look for when purchasing and the benefits of cooking with seasonal, organic and hormone free product
A contribution of $100 from each package booked will be made to support the Elder's breakfast event held annually in Hartley Bay, home of the Gitga'at, as a commitment to social equity that is fundamental to the triple bottom line philosophy that the lodge embraces.
