FISHING CHARTER PACKAGES

INSTRUCTED FISHING PROGRAM

Our “instructed” fishing package provides the best of both worlds: The freedom to fish self guided on your own schedule, and the value of on-water assistance shared by one of our friendly instructors. Each full day, your on-water instructor will be available for a full 5 hours of fishing. Typically, each instructor is assigned two groups of anglers and two boats. Their time is shared accordingly based on the level of angler experience.

Need a touch up on your fishing techniques? Take advantage of the first day’s orientation and look forward to the camaraderie and local knowledge shared with you each day thereafter.

Safety is a top priority. After ensuring you are familiar with your boat’s safe operation, we’ll take you to the hot spots and review everything you need for a successful fishing adventure. This includes bait and lure presentation, operation of rods, reels and downriggers – and how to land a fish effectively. Wildlife will be abundant and you’ll also be treated to information about the local ecology, environment, and ocean conditions.

FULLY GUIDED FISHING

Our fully guided package sets a new standard in fishing adventures. With safety as our top priority, King Pacific fishing guides are all Transport Canada certified. They’re knowledgeable, courteous and, most of all, love fishing!

Our guides are responsible for your entire fishing experience and will attend to every detail on the water. Their role is to ensure you understand the very basics of fishing with a focus of mentoring you through to perfection over the course of your stay.

Fishing and ocean conditions can change quickly and our guides are trained and experienced to respond accordingly. Expect regular communication with all our other boats to ensure everyone’s part of the action.

You will receive a minimum of 10 hours of our experienced fishing guide’s undivided attention. Our team is on the water to produce, and we guarantee you’ll be fully engaged in this experience!

PLANNING YOUR TRIP

Should you decide to stay in Vancouver before or after your fishing adventure, please consider our partner hotels, all close to the Vancouver South Terminal.

Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel
Pacific Gateway Hotel
River Rock Casino Resort Vancouver Airport Hotel
Versante Vancouver Airport Hotel

Guests should arrive at Vancouver’s South Terminal at 8am for check in and our aircraft will be departing at 9am. Look for the King Pacific Lodge Banner within the South Terminal Building. Flight time is 1hour 20minutes to Bella Bella. Helicopters will whisk you into the lodge after a short loading time in Bell Bella.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be greeted by our crew and your bags will be taken to your room. Enjoy the view, a quick meal, and be prepared to attend a quick orientation to review fishing and safety related items. We’ll have you on the water as quickly as possible.

Should you experience anything at all which causes concern please let us know right away. A lost bag has often contained the luckiest of lures!

The typical day will start with an early morning wake up. (Did we mention 4:30am?) Not to worry, if a little later works better for you the fish will wait and the coffee will stay hot.

A hot breakfast will be served starting one hour prior to daybreak. Boats are typically off the dock just prior to daybreak and as soon as it’s safe to navigate.

You may pack a lunch and several snacks as you may choose to stay on the water over lunch. We’ll stay in touch and lunch will always be available from 11:30 to 1:00 at the lodge. We’ll even deliver!

After an awesome day on the water, we’ll look forward to seeing you for dinner. Each trip our Chef will work to determine the best time for dinner based on the premium fishing times. Look for some flexibility in this schedule between 5 and 8pm

Our flights are very convenient and our partner carriers are extremely careful with you and your belongings.

We ask your baggage be soft sided and limited to no more than 25 pounds per person. Should you have a need for more, please let us know in advance and we’ll try to help.

Upon departure, we’ll do our best to ensure all of your catch arrives with you in Vancouver. The waterproof fish boxes will weigh no more than 50 pounds each. Many guests choose to have their catch custom processed and we’ll arrange to ship this fish directly to the cannery or smokehouse on your behalf.
